Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. white sugar
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
3 3/4 c. flour
Preparation

Beat eggs; add sugar and vanilla.
Sift flour and all dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
(Use rich milk.) Chill dough and roll out.
Handle as little as possible.
Cut with doughnut cutter.
Fry in Crisco.
