Fruity Cream Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. gelatin (strawberry-banana flavor)
    2 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. cold water
    1 large banana, sliced
    1 c. strawberries, sliced
    1 1/2 c. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Measure 1 cup gelatin mixture and add cold water until thickened.
    Add fruit and put into 1 1/2-quart serving bowl.
    Blend ice cream into remaining gelatin and spoon over clear gelatin.
    Chill until set.
    Serves 12.
