Homemade Kraut - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. water
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
chopped cabbage
Preparation

Mix the first
four ingredients together and bring to a boil. Using quart jars, place a teaspoon of salt in each jar. Pack chopped cabbage in\tjars.
Pour
in
hot
mixture.\tRun a knife around inside of
jars
to\tbe sure liquid comes to top. Seal jars and set in cool place.
