Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head iceberg lettuce, torn in pieces
    2 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cook peas in microwave first, then cool
    2 bunches celery, chopped fine
    2 sweet onions, cut in half and sliced thin
    1/4 Tbsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    sliced mushrooms
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Layer the following in a deep glass dish:
    lettuce, peas, celery, onions and sugar.
    Dollop mayonnaise on top.
    Cover with Saran Wrap.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Next day add mushrooms and bacon bits.
    Toss.
