Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 c. yellow corn meal
    2 well beaten eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt, baking powder and sugar.
    Mix with corn meal. Combine eggs, milk and shortening.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Stir just until moistened.
    Bake in wax paper lined 9-inch square pan in moderately hot oven at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
