Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. flaked coconut
Preparation

In double boiler, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Gradually stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat.
Stir often.
Cook until thickened.
Remove from heat.
Stir moderate amount of mixture into egg yolks.
Stir together quickly; return to hot mixture.
Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add butter and vanilla.
Stir until butter melted.
Add coconut.
Pour into pie shell.
Cool.
