Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. corn meal, sifted
1 egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
buttermilk

Preparation

Mix all ingredients, except buttermilk.
Add buttermilk until you have a light consistency.
Drop by spoonfuls into deep fryer and cook until brown.
