Sweet-Sour Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 bacon slices
    4 large onions
    1/2 to 1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard (optional)
    1 tsp. garlic powder (optional)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    2 (15 oz.) cans dried lima beans
    1 lb. can green lima beans
    1 lb. can dark red kidney beans
    1 lb. 11 oz. can New England style baked beans (optional)
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Cut onions in rings and place in skillet.
    Add brown sugar, salt, vinegar, dry mustard and garlic powder.
    Cook 20 minutes, covered.
    Add onion mixture to beans in 3-quart casserole and add bacon.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour. Serves 12.
