Twentieth Century Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour, sifted
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 c. milk
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring (your choice)
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream butter and sugar very well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, blending mixture well between adding the eggs.
    Add the flour, stirring well.
    Add the milk, stirring constantly.
