Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding (each with 1 1/2 c. milk)
    1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
    2 cans cherry pie filling
    2 cartons Cool Whip
    1 large pkg. frozen or fresh coconut
Preparation
    Bake cake mix by directions; crumble 1/2 cake in bottom of punch bowl.
    Spread pudding over cake.
    Spread 1/2 of drained pineapple over pudding.
    Spread 1 can cherry pie filling.
    Spread 1 carton Cool Whip over filling.
    Spread 1/2 coconut over Cool Whip.
    Repeat all of the preceding for next layer.
