Chocolate Chip Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. dates, cut up
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 c. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Mix and cool dates, boiling water and baking soda.
Set aside.
