Grandma'S Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
1 green pepper
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 can (1 lb. 12 oz.) whole tomatoes with juice
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
2 c. water
1 pkg. (8 oz.) wide noodles, uncooked
sliced Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Saute onion and green pepper (cut into strips) in margarine for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add beef and brown, breaking it up as it cooks.
Add salt, pepper and sugar.
Stir in tomatoes, sauce and water.
Heat mixture to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
Layer sauce, noodles and sauce alternately, ending with sauce layer.
Top with cheese.
Cover tightly with foil.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Uncover and cook 5 minutes longer.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Serves 6 to 8.
