Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. molasses
3/4 c. hot water
a little ginger, cloves and cinnamon
Preparation

Work the first 3 ingredients together in a bowl.
In another bowl, add all the remaining ingredients except the water.
Mix well, then add water.
Into an unbaked pie shell, combine the crumbs and liquid in alternate layers with crumbs on bottom and top.
Bake 15 minutes at 450\u00b0 and then 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
