Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/4 lb. smoked ham, chopped
    2 ribs celery, finely chopped
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    1 green pepper, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 lb. smoked mild or hot sausage, sliced
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes with juice, chopped
    1 tsp. thyme and 1 tsp. red pepper sauce (or to taste)
    2 c. rice
    3 c. hot chicken broth
    salt and pepper
    1/2 lb. sea scallops
    1/2 lb. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat.
    Add the ham, celery, onion, pepper and garlic.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes.
