Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 qt. popped corn
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 c. roasted peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    Boil all ingredients (except popcorn, soda and peanuts) for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Remove from heat and add soda, stirring quickly.
    Pour over popcorn, mixing well.
    Spread popcorn mixture on 2 large flat pans and place in a 250\u00b0 oven for 1 hour. Stir 2 or 3 times while baking.
    Store in tightly closed container.
