Easy Apple Cobbler(6 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. peeled, sliced apples
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Combine first 7 ingredients; mix gently.
    Spoon into a greased 9-inch square cooking dish.
    Dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
    Set aside.
    Combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Spoon over apple mixture in 9 equal portions (batter will spread during cooking).
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
