Delicious Sour Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs, separated
    1 c. commercial sour cream
    3 c. cake flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly. Add beaten egg yolks. Add sour cream alternately with flour, salt and baking powder. (Add stiffly beaten egg whites after flour.)
    Bake at 375\u00b0 approximately 45 minutes or 1 hour or until done when tested with a straw. Bake in angel food pan.
    (Not necessary to ice, just a little sifted powdered sugar on top.)
    Delicious.
