Chicken Noodle Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 lb.) chicken
    3 qt. cold water
    1 small onion
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. parsley
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cover chicken with water and simmer until tender, with the onion and bay leaf.
    Remove chicken.
    Cut meat from bones, return to kettle.
    Add parsley, season and add noodles.
