Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 c. flour
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Cream together sugar and butter; add eggs and beat well.
    Stir in buttermilk.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add; add boiling water.
    Beat well.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
