Ingredients

2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease cookie sheet.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
Combine all ingredients, except dates and nuts, in a large bowl.
Blend at low speed until moistened.
Beat 1 minute on medium speed.
By hand stir in dates and nuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoonful 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 1 minute.
Remove from sheet and frost cookies.
