Shepard'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Instant mashed potatoes for 6 people
    1 egg
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion chopped
    2/3 c. frozen sliced carrots thawed
    2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
    1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
    2 tsp. salt, divided
    1 c. beef broth
    1/2 tsp. pepper, divided
Preparation
    Cook potatoes according to directions.
    Cook beef and onion in large skillet over med-high heat stirring until it crumbles and loses its pink color.
    Drain, then return to pan.
    Add carrots (peas or corn can be substituted).
    Stir in flour, 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper.
    Add broth and cook, stirring until slightly thickened.
    Spoon into 11x17 inch lightly greased dish.
    Stir egg into potatoes along with remaining 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Spoon over beef mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 minutes more.
