The Original Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sour cream
    2 c. self-rising meal
    2 eggs
    1 c. cream-style corn
    garlic powder
    1 can Gebhardt green chopped chilies
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2/3 c. salad oil
    1 c. Colby Longhorn cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except cheese.
    Make sure sides and bottom of iron skillet are well-oiled.
    Pour 1/2 mixture in hot skillet.
    Add shredded cheese.
    Pour other 1/2 on top of cheese. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
