Beer Batter(Fish, Poultry, Etc.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. dry mustard or regular mustard
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper or red pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. beer (flat and at room temperature)
Preparation
    Stir together dry ingredients.
    Carefully combine egg and beer. Slowly stir into dry ingredients.
    Dip pieces of meat or onion rings into batter and fry in deep shortening.
