Garlic Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. quick cooking grits
    2 1/4 c. boiling water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 stick oleo
    1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 egg
    1/4 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Mix grits, water and salt.
    Cook until done; set aside and cool.
    Melt oleo and cheese.
    Add to cooked grits, with egg, milk and garlic powder.
    Put in greased casserole dish.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup cornflakes on top.
    Bake 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Excellent with ham.
