Date Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 pkg. dates, finely chopped
    2 c. nuts
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Boil sugar, milk and dates until they form a soft-ball. Remove from heat.
    Add nuts and butter.
    Beat as long as possible. Pour into a thin cloth wet with cold water.
    Roll and place in refrigerator.
    When cold, slice.
