Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
    1 1/2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour and salt.
    Beat egg yolks; add milk.
    Stir into flour mixture, blending well.
    Cook over hot water until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Cover; cook 10 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    Add vanilla and 1 cup of coconut.
    Pour into pie shell; cool.
    Cover with meringue and sprinkle the rest of coconut over meringue.
    Return to oven at 325\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes, or until brown.
