Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. sliced yellow squash
    1 pt. onions, sliced thin
    4 green bell peppers
    salt
    2 c. cider vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Combine the squash, onions and green peppers.
    Sprinkle with salt and cover with water.
    Put ice on top to cool.
    Let stand one hour and drain.
