Wassail - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. apple cider
    1 qt. pineapple juice
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 sticks cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. whole allspice
    1/2 tsp. whole cloves
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1 fifth sauterne
    5 clove studded apples
Preparation
    In a large pot, combine cider, pineapple juice, sugar, cinnamon, allspice and cloves.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Add lemon juice and wine; heat but do not boil.
    Pour into a large punch bowl and float apples.
