Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. veal or beef
    1/2 lb. pork
    salt and pepper
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. onions, chopped
    green pepper (optional)
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. Bead molasses (Chinese browning)
    1 can Chinese mixed vegetables, rinsed 3 or 4 times
    1 c. mushrooms
    cornstarch
Preparation
    Cut meat in cubes; brown and add salt and pepper.
    Add celery, onions and green pepper.
    Cook until transparent; add water and molasses.
    Add mixed vegetables.
    When almost done, add mushrooms. Thicken with cornstarch.
    Serve on rice.
    Serves 4. Can be frozen. Cook rice when used.
