Plum Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. shortening or butter, melted
    2 c. sliced fresh prune plums (1 1/2 lb.)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and 1/2 cup sugar and baking powder.
    Add milk and melted shortening; beat until well blended.
    Turn into a greased baking pan.
    Cover with sliced plums.
    Sprinkle with sugar and nutmeg.
    Pour boiling water over the whole thing.
    Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
