Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 2/3 c. sugar
dash of salt
2/3 c. Karo light syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites

Preparation

Boil sugar, salt, syrup and water to 265\u00b0, hard-ball stage. Beat egg whites, then add boiling mixture. Beat until thick and add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. You can add 1 cup of chopped pecans, when adding vanilla, if wanted.
