Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head lettuce, broken into bite-sized pieces
    1 c. diced celery
    4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    1 pkg. frozen English peas, uncooked
    1/2 green or yellow bell pepper, diced
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 pkg. Ranch salad dressing mix
    1 c. (4 oz.) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    12 slices bacon, fried crisp and diced
Preparation
    Layer the first 6 ingredients in a 12 x 9 x 2-inch serving dish.
    Combine mayonnaise and dressing mix.
    Spread on top, sealing vegetables below.
    Top with grated cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Sprinkle on diced bacon before serving.
