Panoche Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt butter and while hot, add brown sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy.
    Sift together the dry ingredients and stir into mixture.
    Mix in chocolate chips and nuts.
    Spread evenly in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Let cool and cut in squares.
