Pecan Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. broken pecans plus pecan halves
2/3 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
Add salt, syrup, eggs and vanilla; mix all together.
In an unbaked pie shell, put in nuts and also arrange the whole pecans in a design as they will rise to the top of pie.
Pour filling over pecans. Bake in 450\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake 35 minutes longer or until knife can be inserted in center and comes out clean.
Makes an 8-inch pie.
