Apple Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. milk
    2 c. diced, peeled apples
    1/4 c. powdered sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Mix and sift dry ingredients; add beaten eggs and milk. Batter should be thick enough to coat the apples.
    Drop in the hot oil (about the size of a tennis ball) turning over in the oil once, until golden brown and done in the center.
    Use a deep fat fryer with about 3 inches of oil or shortening at a temperature of 400\u00b0.
