Nona'S Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. tomato puree (made from about 3 qt. fresh tomatoes)
    3 green peppers
    1 c. diced onion
    4 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 tsp. liquid smoke
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. minced garlic or 3 to 4 cloves garlic
    1 Tbsp. comino
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 tsp. oregano
Preparation
    Cook green peppers and onion and run through sieve or blender. Mix all ingredients together.
    Boil for 15 minutes and simmer until desired thickness.
    Pour into pint jars.
    Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes, or store in refrigerator.
