Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 stick butter
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. water
red food color (optional)
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 lb. marshmallows
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 or 5 medium sweet potatoes

Preparation

Mix all ingredients and put on stove.
Bring to a boil, stirring until marshmallows melt.
Pour over cooked sweet potatoes.
Place in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven and bake.
