Sauerkraut Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon, diced
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 large can sauerkraut
    2 c. mashed potatoes
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; drain and set aside.
    Brown beef and onion; season with salt and pepper.
    Mix in bacon.
    Place in bottom of a 2-quart dish.
    Spread sauerkraut and liquid on top. Cover with mashed potatoes.
    Dot with butter.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Remove cover the last 5 to 10 minutes to brown potatoes.
