Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. melted shortening
2 1/4 c. plain flour
1 c. boiling water
3/4 c. molasses
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Add eggs and sugar to molasses and melted shortening.
Add flour, sifted with
other dry ingredients.
Add hot water last. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Serve warm with Cool Whip or applesauce.
Great anytime.
Bake in 11 x 7-inch or 9 x 13-inch pan.
(My oven only requires 30 minutes for baking.)
