French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar or honey
    1/8 tsp. salt
    4 slices day old whole wheat bread
    1 Tbsp. grated orange rind (optional)
    oil
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add milk, sugar or honey and salt.
    Pour liquid over bread, turning slices to moisten completely.
    Place griddle over direct heat; pour in a little oil and heat.
    Fry bread on both sides until golden brown.
    Serve hot with honey or maple syrup.
    (Grated orange rind added to liquid makes a pleasing variation.)
    Moistened slices may be placed on well-greased cookie sheet and browned on each side in a 500\u00b0 oven.
