Powdered Sugar Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks margarine, softened
    1 one pound box 4 X sugar
    2 1/2 cups plain flour
    2 tsp. lemon flavoring
    6 extra large eggs, room temp.
Preparation
    Sift sugar and set aside. Sift unmeasured flour, then measure 2 1/2 cups and sift again. Set aside. Cream margarine, add sugar gradually. Beat this until it is light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Reduce mixer speed and begin adding flour gradually. before adding all the flour, mix in lemon extract. Gently put in tube pan.
    Bake one hour to one hour and ten minutes. Remove from oven when cake pulls from side of pan. Tilt pan from side to side to loosen cake. Place cake rack on top of cake and flip. Gently lift off pan. Pour glaze on hot cake.
