Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Make a syrup and boil 5 minutes.
    Add 1/2 cup butter or margarine.
    Pare and core 6 to 8 apples.
    Set aside.
