Cavatina - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. Italian cooking sauce
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large bell pepper, thinly sliced
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    1 can sliced mushrooms
    1 pkg. sliced pepperoni
    1 pkg. grated Mozzarella cheese
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    8 oz. mixed pastas (at least 4 different types, such as small shells, small corkscrews, small elbow macaroni, thin egg noodles, etc.)
Preparation
    Mix the different pasta together and cook in boiling water until tender.
    While pasta is cooking, brown ground beef in skillet.
    Remove beef from skillet and use drippings to saute bell pepper and onion slices until tender.
    Add mushroom slices and heat thoroughly.
    Drain off excess drippings from vegetables.
    In large casserole dish, layer the following:
    Pasta mixture, vegetables, beef, pepperoni, cheese and sauce.
    Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until thoroughly heated and cheese is melted.
    Serve with French bread and a green salad.
    Serves 8.
