Shrimp And Peas With Linguine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. shrimp
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    10 oz. pkg. frozen peas
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (32 oz.) jar plain spaghetti sauce
    1 lb. linguine
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Preparation
    Clean shrimp.
    Chop onion and pepper.
    Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
    Add peas, onion and pepper.
    Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Stir in sauce, shrimp and pepper flakes and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to medium-low.
    Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
    Boil linguine until firm to the bite.
    Drain and transfer to a pasta bowl.
    Spoon sauce over pasta.
    Toss to coat well and serve.
    Serves 4 to 6.
