Italian Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 sticks margarine
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. shredded coconut
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream together sugar, egg yolks and margarine.
    Stir in sifted flour, buttermilk, soda and salt.
    Add coconut, nuts and vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Bake in three 8-inch layer cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
