Fudge Four O'Clocks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 oz. chocolate
1/4 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. milk
1 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Melt chocolate and pour over shortening; mix well.
Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored.
Add sugar gradually, beating well with each addition.
Combine mixtures and add a little of the flour.
Sift rest of the flour, salt and baking soda together; add alternately with milk.
Add chopped nuts.
Spread in 2 greased and floured 8 x 8-inch pans.
Bake in a slow oven (325\u00b0) for 20 minutes.
Frost with vanilla frosting and cut into bars.
