Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    5 onions, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. water
    6 c. beef stock or canned beef broth
    salt and pepper
    chopped parsley
Preparation
    Save onions in butter until golden brown.
    Add the salt and water and cook over medium heat until the water is reduced to 1/2 cup.
    Add the beef stock and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve garnished with chopped parsley.
    Serves 4 to 6.
