Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. cornmeal
    2 eggs
    1 c. or 1 small can cream-style corn
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    2 or 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
Preparation
    Pour oil in skillet and spread to cover.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Pour in skillet and bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 8.
