Baked Chicken Dinner In One Pan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 broilers, cut in half (2 lb. each)
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
    3 tender carrots, cut in 1/8-inch slices
    3 small onions, peeled and quartered
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. half and half
    1/4 lb. butter
Preparation
    Place vegetables in a roasting pan which has a tight-fitting cover and that will be large enough to accomodate the chicken (cut in half lengthwise).
    Place chicken halves over the vegetables. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; pour half and half over this; dot with butter.
    Cover tightly and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until you can pierce the thickest part of the chicken with a sharp fork. Uncover and place under broiler for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
