Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cook to a firm ball stage the light brown sugar, butter, Karo syrup, salt and sweetened condensed milk.
    Add the vanilla and nuts.
    Pour into buttered pan.
    Cool.
    Cut into squares.
    Wrap each in wax paper.
